My objective is to build the leaders of the future. As I build my organization, I realize that my top priority is leading and developing individuals who are going to make a difference. People that embrace change and lead from the frontline. Anyone can lead from behind a desk. Anyone can send out memos and issue orders. Management is a key fundamental business practice. You manage the process, the system. You lead people. Seems pretty simple.
Why is it then, that more and more I see companies that don’t invest their time and effort in their most valuable asset. Their people.
So, make sure that you don’t settle for anything but the best for those you serve. Regardless of what you do, you are a leader to someone. Most likely, you’re not leading enough people. School, work, home, your community…there’s Always an opportunity to step up and lead. Get out and get involved. Make a difference to those who look up to you. You’ll find more wealth in that than in any pay raise and promotion.
Count your blessings and get prepared. 2021 is going to be a wild ride.
