I would like to respectfully request for more time to do the things that I want to do….
It would be nice if it were that easy. While it may not be that simple, there are things you can do to get more out of your day.
First, take charge of the day and wake up bright and early. You should be reading up on your industry, or on ways to improve yourself. Early in the morning you should be writing as well. At least 20 minutes. Don’t know what to write about? Just let the ideas flow! Get yourself a creative journal, and pick out one that reflects your unique character and personality. I suggest you go to Barnes and Noble, they have a great selection to choose from. I use the leather bound ones, makes me stay dedicated to writing in it every day. Plus, I figure it will make for a great family heirloom some day.
So, in the mornings, while everyone else is sleeping, you’re working on yourself, your dream, your ultimate vision. Do you think a great leader like Dwight D. Eisenhower, a 5 star General and first Allied Commander got to where he was by eating Fruit Loops at 10am…not so much.
I won’t even get into the time wasting that goes on during the day. That’s a story for another day, different Bat channel.
At night though, what do you find yourself doing? Are emotionally drained, plopped on the couch in front of the TV? Or, are you uplifted and inspired by the day you just had, brainstorming and using your creative vision to prepare for the day to come? Big difference.
Use your time wisely folks. One thing I’m sure of is that you’re not going to get any more of it. As you find success it will be even more critical to be a complete taskmaster with your time.
So, start now, start planning, and open your eyes to the opportunities that are coming your way.
You’ll miss them if your head is down, watching your feet shuffle towards a road you may not want be traveling on. You got this…now get started today!
