When I fall down, you put me back together…
Who is it that you turn to when times are tough? Who is that one person you can turn to, no matter what?
When, you’re broken, hurting and drifting, there always seems to be someone that brings you back in. Back to the warmth that cures your aches. Back to the soothing sound of rain on the window pane. There always seems to be someone’s shoulder to rest your head on.
Is it possible to harness that feeling? Are you powerful enough to bring back that energy when you’re on your own? It’s not easy, but the motivation and self drive that it takes to succeed is very hard to find. Often times we look at failure as the ultimate defeat. Well, the only defeat that is final is death. That is when we are truly done, when you hang up the gloves and call it quits.
Until then, each new struggle and difficulty brings forth opportunity. You have the opportunity to achieve greatness. Is your vision moving you towards the greater good, or do you keep going back to that blanket that comforts you so?
I say get rid of it. Break the mold and move on into the future. Accept the defeat for what it is, and come back stronger and a better person because of it.
